Why Hostinger is the Best Blog Host

I have been on a search for the best WordPress host for over ten years now. Yes, you heard right – ten years. Finding the best host for your blog is serious business and it’s not so easy given that much of the advice you’ll find on the internet comes with the assumption that you also want the cheapest possible host.

Just want the answer?

Ok ok, my pick for the best WordPress hosting is Hostinger – but NOT their cheapest plan. If you are building a business on top of your blog I recommend one of their cloud plans – these will give you a fully managed platform and a super speedy, resource to power your website

Now for the longer answer – here is why I love them:

Proactive & Speedy Customer Service

If you chose a cloud plan, customer support agents are available 24/7/365. You can access support in one of two ways – searching for an answer in their knowledge base or directly in a chat window that you have access to when you are logged into your account.

Hostinger customer support

The chat feature blew me away because of how easy it makes it to get help when you need it. With my past host I had to fill out a support form which can be time consuming because communication has to go back and forth over email. Having a chat window allows you to have an easy conversation and a much quicker resolution to your problem.

Hostinger customer support

I have had to access support numerous times already for help with migrating my website over to Hostinger and have been wowed with the responsiveness and friendliness of their support team.

But what really made me excited was that in one case they proactively nudged me about a solution to a problem that I was having that I hadn’t even contacted them about. They literally popped up a solution in the chat window and I was able to solve my problem. This is hands-down the best customer service experience I have ever had.

Awesomely Powerful Plans

Hostinger offers 3 types of plans: Shared Hosting, Managed Cloud Hosting, and VPS Hosting. I recommend you go with managed cloud hosting. VPS hosting isn’t necessary and is technically challenging. Shared hosting can be great for people with a really tight budget who are just getting started but it doesn’t give you the dedicated resources that Hostinger’s cloud hosting plan does.

Hostinger web hosting plans

What cloud hosting gives you is a fully managed solution (meaning Hostinger handles server uptime, updates and monitoring) with allocated resources that you don’t have to share with anyone else.

This type of hosting sets you up to grow easily. You will not need to migrate your site at a later date and you don’t have to worry about sharing resources with other people’s sites.

Which Cloud plan should you get?

If you only have one blog, the Startup plan is a good choice for you. I am on the Professional plan because I am using Hostinger to host multiple blogs and because I am a sucker for RAM (the professional plan gets a whopping 6GB Ram).

Great Prices (if you’re willing to commit)

Hostinger has some of the best prices available if you are willing to commit. I was disappointed that the prices they quote on their main pricing page are only available with the longest term commitment of 48 months.

When I decided to host with them, it felt risky to commit to anything for 4 years so I ended up doing a shorter commitment for a higher price. Knowing what I know now I would go ahead and do the 48 month commitment.

The price you can get at the 48-month commitment level is insanely great for the amount of memory and CPU cores you get. If you are worried about committing, they offer a 30-day money back guarantee on all their plans.

WordPress Hosting at it’s Best

Hostinger respects WordPress users and it’s obvious. They offer a 1-click installer with no restrictions on what themes or plugins you can install. This allows you to get started easily – literally with a click of a button.

On top of that Hostinger’s support experts are familiar with WordPress – meaning they can offer help with WordPress specific issues. I was surprised at some of the WordPress specific help I received through customer support. I don’t even expect this from my hosting provider so it is a big bonus to know that there is a possibliity that I could get WordPress specific help from them. I imagine that this is limited to setting up your WordPress site but based on my experiences I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes past that.

Finally, they offer best-in-class WordPress performance. There is a lot of fancy technology behind this including pre-installed caching plugins, NGINX caching, GZIP compression, spam and threat detection and more but what it comes down to is that Hostinger makes WordPress preformance a priority and you can expect some of the best performance out there for your WordPress site.

Hostinger speed comparison

The average response time for sites that host with them is 226 milliseconds and their average WordPress response time is 152ms. Enough said. This is the shortest section in my post so I feel like I need to add some emojis for emphasis.

⚡️Hostinger is super fast and super fast is essential for blog-based businesses. ????Slowness is my number one complaint with the hosts I have used before. ✨It affects everything from SEO to the ease of working on your blog.

Final Thoughts On Hostinger Web Hosting

Between me beginning this draft and actually finishing it I had another great experience with them – they literally have changed my opinion of the hosting industry and have set the bar very high when it comes to what I expect from a web host.

Hostinger’s speed, reliability, ease of use and customer service make them a stand-out in the web-hosting industry. This is the first time I have felt comfortable recommended a web host and I give them my highest recommendation. ????????????(again with the emojis, I know!)
